SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Spring Arbor University’s Mackenzie Selvius has been named the Crossroads League Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
Selvius scored two of No. 10 SAU’s three goals on the week against a pair of top-10 foes on the way to securing the first player of the week honor of her career. The sophomore scored the Cougars’ lone goal in a 1-1 tie at No. 6 Lindsey Wilson College, before burying the game-winner on a penalty kick in a 2-1 win against No. 4 Martin Methodist College.
On the season, Selvius had tallied a team-high four goals while also adding one assist.
Spring Arbor (4-2-1) will close out the non-conference portion of its schedule with a road trip to Lawrence Tech (3-2) on Wednesday, Sept. 18.
