Chloe Dood signed her National Letter of Intent to attend Cornerstone University and play Women’s Soccer for Coach Randy Strawser and the Golden Eagles on Tuesday, December 21. Chloe states, “The qualities that the university offers along with a Christian education fits right in with what I have always wanted for a college experience.” Chloe is planning to major in Social Work during her time at Cornerstone.
Coach Broekhuizen was also thrilled for Chloe and the next step in her journey. “Chloe is a terrific young woman and Christ follower who represents our team and school in the highest fashion. She works extremely hard on her game as well as her academics. Although we lost our 2020 season, she was a critical piece in our 2019 State Championship squad, coming off the bench as a Sophomore to provide strong midfield support that allowed us to maintain a high level of play. I certainly missed out on coaching her last Spring but I am convinced she would have stepped into a starting midfield role with great success. She has improved herself over this past year through a strong commitment to club training and consistent personal fitness training. She has also stepped into a leadership role for our women’s program at South Christian. Chloe’s best soccer is definitely ahead of her and it’s exciting to see her earn this opportunity at Cornerstone University.”
Congratulations to both Chloe and her family! SC Pride!
