Masynn Burgess A Difficult Out As South Christian Sailors Varsity Defeat Utica Ford Varsity Falcons Masynn Burgess collected three hits in four at bats, as South Christian Sailors Varsity defeated Utica Ford Varsity Falcons 15-11 on Saturday. Burgess doubled in the third inning, tripled in the seventh inning, and singled in the second inning. Bats blistered as South Christian Sailors Varsity collected 14 hits and Utica Ford Varsity Falcons tallied 10 in the high-scoring game. South Christian Sailors Varsity got on the board in the top of the second inning after Baylee Rusticus-Koning grounded into a fielder's choice, Maddy DeVries grounded out, Kenlee Copeland grounded out, and Zayda Burke tripled down the left field line, each scoring one run. South Christian Sailors Varsity added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Ruby Weber doubled down the right field line, Burgess doubled to right field, and Rusticus-Koning grounded into a fielder's choice, each scoring one run. Utica Ford Varsity Falcons tied the game in the bottom of the seventh thanks to an error, a single by Jillian Walters, a single by Ella Lundberg, a single by Mia Hesske, and a home run to center field by Jordyn Szpytek.
