As student-athletes we recognize that our participation in sports is only half of the equation. Being a student comes first. As a small thank you and appreciation to our teachers, our Varsity Volleyball team was introduced with a teacher that has had an impact on their life. We also were able to pause as a community and honor our amazing teacher in heaven, Mr. VanStee. His dedication, heart and love for his students is leaving an impact on our lives. Tonight was for him. The Varsity Team battled hard and never looked back winning in three straight sets 25-15, 25-12, 25-10. The Sailors will play again this Thursday at Grand Rapids Union.
