The South Christian Athletic Department is proud to announce the hiring of its next Boys Varsity Baseball Coach. Chris Mokma will be the new leader of the program. Chris has served as an Assistant on the Varsity staff for the past two seasons so he is familiar with the program and the community. Coach Mokma is a 2019 graduate of Holland Christian High School where he starred as a player. He was a State Champion and a two time All State pitcher. He was drafted in the 12th round of the 2019 MLB draft by the Florida Marlins. Chris spent 5 seasons playing professionally before calling it a career and then joined the SC baseball staff. Chris stated, "I'm very excited to have the opportunity to lead the South Christian baseball program. I'm excited to continue to build this program and bring success to South Christian baseball. I'm looking forward to teaching and leading these guys in the game of baseball and encouraging them daily in their walk with God." We are so excited to welcome Coach Mokma to this new position.
