Game Recap

This was the first time for the JV Sailors to face the Red Hawk of Cedar Springs. In the first half the Sailors were executing their strategy well and holding possession. This was creating several scoring opportunities. The final converted on one of these when Lukas Bylsma connected on a through ball to Max Douma who scored the first goal of the game and his first goal of the season. Latter in the half the Red Hawks were able to tie up the game when we were unable to get a clearance out of our box.
In the second half the Sailors returned to form and where able to hold Cedar Springs scoreless while adding 2 to their tally. Max picked up a second goal from a Sam DeVries assist and Carson Nitz finished the scoring off a pass from Reese Bos.
Add hard collision by a Red Hawk with Nik Shepers saw Jayden Sterk come into goal to finish off the victory for the Sailors.
