Wayland Too Much for Sailors in OK-Gold Showdown

Entering Thursday night’s showdown with conference rival Wayland, the varsity volleyball team knew that a win was the only outcome that would matter as they sit one game back in the overall standings. Sailors boys soccer team wins OK Gold 2012 Championship

It was an exciting night of soccer for the South Christian Sailors in Hastings on Wednesday October 10th.  Both the Sailors Varsity (10-0) and JV (7-0-1) teams won the OK Gold 2012 Championships.  In the varsity match, Hastings led at half time 1-0.  Energized by Coach Boersma’s half time speech, the sailors looked very good

Hall-of-Fame for Tom Dykema

Congratulations to long-time South Christian coach and athletic director Tom Dykema.  He was inducted into the Michigan Basketball Coaches Hall-of-Fame on Saturday, October 6.  Tom had 414 wins as a varsity boys basketball coach at South Christian, including a State Championship in 1988.  Congratulations Tom!

South Cheers on at Light the Night Walk!

[complete_gallery id=”8752″ class=”alignnone” ]On Saturday, October 6th, the South Christian cheerleaders spent their evening cheering on walkers who participated in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s annual Light the Night walk. For the second year in a row, members of the South cheer squad were stationed at various points along the walking route. Their job was
