Girls Varsity Basketball downs Ottawa Hills 47-30; improves to 12-1

Sailors Freshman shooting struggles continue

The Sailors freshman basketball team lost to Grand Rapids Catholic Central on Thursday January 24th 48-37.  Ty Brinks led the team with 18 points and Josh Ezinga had a season high 9 rebounds.  These efforts were not enough to overcome the 25.6% shooting percentage from 2 point range and 55% from the free throw line.

Going into tonight, there were only two boys teams in first place for the GOLD division–the South Christian and the Catholic Central.  After a 60-50 win, the Sailors are now in first place all by themselves.
