After a seven day break from games, the Lady Sailors were ready to play. The first quarter started with the Scots making some long jump shots, but the Sailors continued to stay engaged and play hard defense, while also converting some shots on the offensive end. The Sailors went into halftime ahead with a score of 19-16. The second half started off slow with both teams going back and forth with baskets. But as the game came down to the wire, the Sailors made some huge hustle plays on defense and offense to seal the win against the Caledonia Scots.
Alea Winkle led the team with 12 points, while Lily Huizinga and Ashlyn In’tHout each contributed six points. Stephanie Michmerhuizen had three points, while Caroline Geurkink and Emmory VanHofwegen each made a basket. There was great team play by all involved!
