Saturday night the Lady Sailors hosted Holland Christian. With an 8 point lead after the first quarter the Lady Sailors soon found themselves in a bit of trouble when Holland Christian took over on offense making 7 3-point shots closing up South’s lead. A strong 4 th quarter for the Lady Sailors resulted in a 50-34 win at home. Seniors Josie Vink and Addyson VanSolkema both took lead in the game, both shooting over 50%. Josie led the team with 12 points, she also had 4 rebounds. Addyson added 10 points to the board, she also had 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals. Ashley Raredon led the team in rebounds with 9, she also had 9 points. Syd Vis contributed 6 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and had 10 deflections. Sailor Holstege had 6 points and 2 assists. Taylor Newhof had 5 points and 4 rebounds. Lexi Burgess was key on defense with 5 deflections and 3 steals, she also had 2 assists and 2 rebounds.

Up next for the Lady Sailors is a pair of Home games: Tuesday 7:45 pm vs Cedar Springs and Thursday 7:00 pm vs. Kenowa Hills, both teams of which this team of Lady Sailors has not yet played.
