Grand Rapids Christian, merely ranked #4 in Division 3 came third with 42 points. Thornapple Kellogg Middleville, a Division 3 regional champion from last year took fourth with 29 points followed by the lady Sailors in 5th with 25 points. Rounding out the conference were Wayland with 15 points and Wyoming with 11.
“You’d be hard pressed to find a conference in the state that packs so much star power into one conference,” commented Sailor coach Keith Stulp. “As such, I always ask the girls to play as hard and as well as they can, and as such, I am very happy with the results. The girls played really hard and represented us well. Couldn’t be more pleased.”
South’s girls face North Muskegon today, Tuesday, May 15 at home before playing in and hosting the Division 4 Regional on our home courts this Thursday, May 17.
