South Christian Sailors watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 5-0 loss to Hudsonville on Saturday. Hudsonville took the lead on a single in the first inning. Gage Robertson singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
Gibby Sinke earned the win for Hudsonville. The pitcher went four innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out five and walking one. Carson Fischer and Quinn Dahl entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Sophomore, Seth Ritsema took the loss for South Christian Sailors. The hurler went five and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs on five hits and striking out three.
Senior, Alex Vostad led South Christian Sailors with two hits.
