Forest Hills Eastern got on the board in the first inning when Hearn doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.
South Christian Sailors notched three runs in the sixth inning. The big inning was thanks to singles by Jake DeHaan and Ty Oetman and a groundout by Jace DeMann.
Nate Durham led the Forest Hills Eastern to victory on the mound. He surrendered four runs on eight hits over five innings, striking out three.
DeMann took the loss for South Christian Sailors. The hurler allowed five hits and ten runs over one and one-third innings, striking out one. Ethan Henry pitched well out of the bullpen for the Sailors going 4.2 innings while allowing just 2 hits and no runs.
South Christian collected 12 hits. Nate Brinks, Alex Edson, and DeHaan all collected multiple hits. Edson and Brinks each managed three hits to lead South.
